In London on 8th November 1999 at the House of Commons, Lee Jasper, then Director of the human rights organisation 1990 Trust, sponsored and inaugurated the KNT under the Ghana name Kwame Nkrumah Historical and Research Foundation, which had been established in Accra, Ghana, the Land of Freedom.
