PanAfrikan Reading Club (Monday’s Class)
“Reading for Liberation”
Our Monday Class is a vibrant and interactive reading club dedicated to exploring the rich intellectual and literary traditions of Africa and the Diaspora. The PanAfrikan Reading Club brings together readers from across the world to engage with works by African and Diasporan authors—from revolutionary thinkers and philosophers to poets, novelists, and historians.
Each session focuses on a selected text, ranging from Nkrumah’s political writings to works by W.E.B. Du Bois, George Padmore, Frantz Fanon, Walter Rodney, Amílcar Cabral, Chinua Achebe, Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o, and many others. Participants are encouraged to read the selected work in advance and come prepared for lively discussion and critical reflection.
The club has focused reading on dictatorship recently.
