The Kwame Nkrumah Trust is a UK-registered charitable organisation dedicated to advancing public education in Kwame Nkrumah’s legacy and Pan-African ideals through grant-making, scholarships, research, and publications—all on a charitable basis.
What We Do (Three Pillars)
Educate
We offer courses, study groups, and reading clubs rooted in Consciencism and Pan-African thought. Our programmes are designed to inform, inspire, and equip participants with the knowledge to contribute to African liberation, unity, and renaissance.
Preserve
Through our online library, digital archives, and publications, we preserve and promote the historical and cultural heritage of Africa and its peoples worldwide—from Nkrumah’s speeches to the works of Pan-African thinkers across the Diaspora.
Empower
We award bursaries and scholarships to students, support literacy programmes in rural communities, and make grants to organisations whose purposes align with our own. We believe in practical action for tangible change.
Join the Movement for the Unification of Africa
We do not need 55 neo-colonial states fragmented by artificial colonial borders. We need a United Nations of Africa—a union of the indigenous and organic nations of Africa who hold sui generis rights before the division of Africa. These are the nations that existed before colonialism, with their own histories, languages, cultures, and systems of governance.
Nkrumah understood that true liberation requires the restoration of Africa’s sovereignty—not as a collection of client states, but as a united continent governed by and for Africans. The United Nations of Africa is not a dream; it is the only path to genuine freedom, development, and dignity for all African peoples.
We call upon all, especially civil society, who hear us to support the African Union—not as it is, but as it should be: a continental body that unites, liberates, and develops Africa. We call upon the African Union to fulfil its mandate and rise to the challenge of Nkrumah’s vision.
